Who it's for:
For anyone who wants the same versatility as the AG03MK2 but needs to connect more sources at once: two mics, instruments, backing tracks and a smartphone, all in one unit.
What stands out:
The big difference from the AG03MK2 is that it takes two condenser mics at the same time, each with its own phantom power. That opens things up a lot for interviews, two-person podcasts, or recording vocals and an instrument on separate mics.
It has its own driver on Windows, zero-latency DSP effects like Comp/EQ, reverb and amp sim, a Mute button to kill the mic during streams, and full control through the AG Controller app on your phone or computer. All the same as the AG03MK2.
It comes with Cubase AI and WaveLab Cast.
What to watch out for:
Despite the 6 physical channels, your computer only sees 2 digital channels. Channels 1 and 2 can be recorded separately and individually; everything else comes in as part of the main mix. If you're not familiar with mixers and signal flow, expect a real learning curve.
Bottom line:
Choosing between the AG03MK2 and the AG06MK2 mostly comes down to how many sources you need connected at once. If you're only recording at home, the AG03MK2 will probably do the job. The AG06MK2 makes sense when you need two live mics or more inputs for gigs and rehearsals.
