Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Gringo Audio (“we”, “us”), operated by Clear Note LLC, runs gringo-audio.com and its products — Magic Vocals, Magic Chords, our courses, and other software and apps hosted and offered on this site. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Brazil’s LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados) and comparable laws.
We are the data controller for the processing described here. For any privacy request or to reach our data protection contact, use our contact form — we don’t publish an email address to reduce spam and abuse.
1. Data we collect
We collect only the minimum we need to deliver the products and services we sell — primarily your name and email.
- Account: email, name and language preference when you create an account or buy.
- Payments: you choose to enter your card and billing/personal details directly on our payment provider’s own site (Stripe, PagSeguro or Hotmart) — not on ours. We never receive or store your full card data, and we are not responsible for the integrity or security of the data you provide on a payment provider’s site (that is governed by their own terms and privacy policy). From a purchase we keep only what we need to deliver it: your order, its status, amounts, and the name and email tied to it.
- Licenses & usage: license keys and, for installable products, the devices a license is activated on.
- Support & contact: the messages and details you send us through forms.
- Technical: IP address, device/browser, and — only with your consent — analytics and advertising identifiers (see Cookies below).
2. Why we use it (legal bases)
Under the LGPD we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver purchases, licenses and accounts); your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies); our legitimate interests (to keep the site secure, prevent fraud and improve the products); and legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting).
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working (security and your session) and are always on. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Marketing cookies (Google Ads) let us measure and target our advertising, including remarketing.
Analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you opt in, and you choose category by category. You can change your choice at any time:
4. Who we share data with
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (processors) that help us run the platform, each handling data on our instructions:
- Supabase — account, database and authentication.
- Stripe — international (USD) payment processing.
- PagSeguro / BoaCompra — Brazilian (BRL) payment processing.
- Hotmart — checkout and delivery for some courses (merchant of record).
- Kajabi — course hosting and access.
- Resend — transactional and account emails.
- Google (Analytics and Ads) — usage measurement and advertising, only with your consent.
- Vercel and Amazon Web Services — hosting and media delivery.
5. International data transfers
Several of our providers process data outside Brazil (mainly in the United States). When data is transferred internationally we rely on the providers’ contractual and technical safeguards and on the legal bases above, consistent with the LGPD.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account, purchase and license data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Consent-based analytics/advertising data is kept according to the provider’s retention settings and until you withdraw consent.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD you can ask us to: confirm whether we process your data and access it; correct incomplete or outdated data; anonymize, block or delete unnecessary data; request portability; get information about who we share data with; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
To exercise any of these, contact us through the form — we’ll respond within the legal time frame.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect it and to notify you and the authorities if a relevant incident occurs.
9. Children
Our products are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the products and the law evolve. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice where appropriate.
