Type: Reference. Balanced, fairly priced, and I can personally vouch for its durability. Without a treated room it won't really work as a reference, so only buy it if you already own a pair of reference headphones. Heads-up: make sure you're buying the pair. You'll often see this monitor listed at half the price, and guess what? That's just one speaker.
